There are 276 staff and workers in CHEG, of which technical staff-164,58 in hydrogeology, engineering and environmental geology, 39 in geophysical prospecting, 6 in computer, 21 in instrument and 40 in other technical fields. CHEG is equipped with advanced instruments and facilities used for investigations of hydrogeology, engineering and environmental geology, remote sensing, disaster monitoring and informatization processing etc., with area 36100m2.
Main missions: carry out large investigation projects from Ministry of Land and Resources , national ministries, and correlative technical development projects.
CHEG has undertaken more than 300 projects of research, development and public welfareat different times, of which over 80 have won the award of national, ministry, province , as well as city, and played an important role in investigations of hydrogeology, engineering and environmental geology.
CHEG holds A level certifications issued by Ministry of Land and Resources for geology, geohazards investigation and geohazards risk assessment etc., Scores of tasks for national key projects in foundation, geohazards investigation, monitoring, and environmental geology assessment , exploration and assessment of water sources are accomplished, as a result, CHEG is held in high prestige at home.
